A Mother's Eye Photography - Studio and On-location Portraits

About Me…

To be perfectly honest with you, I’m really passionate about being a wife and mother. Before starting my own business I couldn’t picture a career that would ever bring out my enthusiasm as these parts of my life do. I picked up the camera as a means to be a stay at home mom and help contribute financially for our family.

What I didn’t realize is how much more it would give me. Photography provides me a way to express the beauty I see in children playing at the park, a mother brushing the hair out of her little one’s face, or a father’s strong arms wrapped around a delicate infant. While people are among my favorite subjects, animals with their fuzzy bodies and carefree personalities are another joy to photograph. There is something so innocent about a dog’s beaming eyes, yet so sneaky about a cat’s grin. I hope to capture the things others might miss.

My inspiration lies in my family. My beautiful daughter made my beginning experiences with the camera unbelievably easy. Her bright eyes and many expressions made me feel like a pro with each photo. She is all too willing to pose for me, and I quickly realized not all children have such a love for cameras. My husband has had my back every step of the way of getting A Mother’s Eye off the ground. With any venture in life, it helps to have such a strong support gently dragging you along!.

In addition to nannying for over 3 years, I come from a large family and find these experiences make it easy for me to adapt to children of all types of personalities. I feel children are fast to warm up to me, with my laid back approach. I hope to make our photoshoot comfortable for everyone and am always open to your feedback. If anyone needs to take a snack break, take your time. I only take a limited amount of appointments per week, so you will be the only client on my mind during our shoot without the pressure of a line outside the door.

Photographs capture a moment in time that you will never get back. They serve as a reminder of how far you’ve come. I like the idea of creating art from something that already exists. Our Creator did the hard part. I’m just putting it on paper and framing it.
